Target population: the Romanian inhabitants of Covasna and Harghita counties

Type of database: survey.

The temporal dimension of the database: cross-sectional.

Sample taking procedure: multi-scale, layered sampling. The whole sample consisted of two sample-parts: the Hungarian population of Harghita and Covasna counties (650), and the Hungarian population of Romania (632). The settlements have been placed into clusters according to their size, administrative status, ethnical composition, and random samples were selected from the clusters.

Data collection procedure: questionnaire

Database weighting: the database was achieved with weighted variables. This means that the Hungarian and Romanians from the two counties are represented according to their real proportion (18 %). In this form the database is representative for the whole population of Covasna and Harghita counties. By choosing the esantion variable one can select the Hungarian and Romanian respondents.
